1. Take the cable car and meet the Ice Queen

Collect your passes at the Tourist Information Office in Piazza Municipio in Macugnaga (from 9:30 to 15:30)

From Macugnaga (1300 m) - at the time booked online - in a few minutes you can take the cable car up to Alpe Bill (1700 m), where the meeting-entertainment with the Ice Queen and her friends takes place. All areas are indoors. Allow about 25-30 minutes between ascent - descent - entertainment. This activity can be done before or after the other activities, based on the times available online.

If you want, you can buy the optional "Navetta" pass directly at the ticket office (3 euros for adults - 2 euros for children) which includes free use for the day of the shuttle bus connecting Funivia, Macugnaga Centro, Macugnaga Borca with Casa Walser and Miniera d'oro (2.5 km away) free parking for your car in Macugnaga (recommended parking: Piazzale Funivia).

2. Visit the old Walser house: life in the old days

Discover the "life of the past" in the Walser House Museum in Borca, a hamlet of Macugnaga. The rooms and work tools of a real, ancient, mountain house from 1600. Entrance is included in the ticket, at any time from 10:30 to 15:45 (last entrance). Dedicate about 20 minutes to the visit.

3.Find the pipes in a real Gold Mine

The elves of Macugnaga were miners: with your ticket you can enter a real Gold Mine and your children can collect gold nuggets. The Guia Gold Mine in Macugnaga is the first gold mine that can be visited in Italy. The route is flat, suitable for everyone, even with strollers.

Entrance is included in the ticket, free time from 10:30 to 15:45 (last entry). Dedicate about 20 minutes to the visit.

The Guia Gold Mine is located in Fornarelli, about 600 meters from the Walser House Museum. The shuttle dedicated to the event stops in front of the Walser House, from here continue on foot for 600 meters.

4. Visit the famous Christmas markets of Macugnaga

On November 30 and December 1, 2024, in conjunction with the Ice Queen, from 9:30 to approximately 18:00 in the center of Macugnaga, the characteristic Christmas markets will take place, organized by the Pro Loco Macugnaga.

5. Lantern Walk and Santa Claus Arrival
